Education - Geographic Cost of Education Index - Funding

Synopsis:

Requiring the State to provide grants to specified county boards of education to reflect regional differences in the cost of education that are due to factors outside the control of local jurisdictions; providing for the manner of calculation and distribution of the grants beginning in fiscal year 2008; requiring the State Department of Education to update the geographic cost of education index at specified times; etc.
