Consumer Health Open Insurance Coverage Act of 2006

Synopsis:

Establishing the Maryland Health Insurance Exchange in the Maryland Health Care Commission; requiring the Commission to oversee the administration of the Maryland Health Insurance Exchange; requiring the Commission to administer a Maryland Health Insurance Coverage Verifications System; requiring the Commission to appoint a director of the Exchange, with the advice and consent of the Governor; providing that the director of the Exchange is an employee of the Commission; etc.
