Synopsis:

Altering the definition of "structured settlement" to include a settlement of a claim in provisions of law authorizing the State to enter into structured settlements of claims under the Maryland Tort Claims Act; and requiring a specified investment company to be selected by the State and a claimant by mutual agreement.
