Community Health Care Access and Safety Net Act of 2005

Synopsis:

Requiring the Health Services Cost Review Commission to develop a financial assistance policy for hospitals to provide free and reduced-cost care to specified patients; establishing the Maryland Community Health Resources Commission as an independent commission that functions within the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene; establishing the powers and duties of the Commission; requiring the Commission to refer individuals to community health resources according to a specified schedule and in a specified manner; etc.
